                                        Our community has lost a treasure. . .  

Maisie Holmes taught at Central School for over 25 years.  As a teacher, Maisie was instrumental in partnering with the OSU Wildlife Stewardship program to bring hands-on environmental learning into our classrooms.

After retirement, Maisie volunteered her time as our designated Wildlife Steward and led efforts to create sustainable habitats on our schoolgrounds - for the benefit of our native bees, insects and butterflies - and to allow kids to experience them up close.

You can honor Maisie's legacy by donating to Maisie's Garden fund to ensure her garden design is completed and to provide resources to maintain the garden in memorium.
